About this job

A Cashier is responsible for handling customer payments and making sure each sale is completed correctly. The main duties include scanning products, receiving cash or card payments, giving the correct change, and providing receipts. A cashier may also answer customer questions, pack items, keep the checkout area clean, and check prices when needed. They must count money carefully, follow store rules, and report any payment or cash problems to a supervisor.
